Hi there. I'm Ian Servin, and I built PSC Toolkit as a personal project to help emergency management professionals.

This document explains how this website handles your data. The short version? I don't see your data. It stays on your computer.

1. Your Operational Data Stays With You

These tools are "Local-First." This means any incident logs, resource lists, or timer data you enter lives only in your browser's memory.

I do not have a server database. I cannot see, store, or share your information. Because of this, if you clear your browser cache, your data will be wiped. This is a feature, not a bug—it keeps the tool simple, private, and secure by default. You can use the tools' import and export features to save your data for backups or to create templates for your operations.

2. What I Do Collect (Google Analytics)

While I don't see what you are typing into the tools, I do like to know that people are finding them useful. I use Google Analytics to track basic, anonymous usage statistics, such as:

This helps me decide what features to build or fix next.

3. Cookies

Google Analytics uses "cookies" (small text files) to make those anonymous stats work. If you prefer to stay completely off the radar, you can use a browser extension like the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

4. Contact

If you have questions, feedback, or feature requests, feel free to reach out to me @airplaneian.com on Bluesky.

This project is not affiliated with any official government agency. It is a personal utility provided "as-is" for the community.
